If you look around you will find any number of metals that can easily be recycled.
Aluminum
This is probably the one you spot the most. Beverage cans are aluminum. It is also found in automobile radiators and automotive wheel rims. You will also find it as guttering and some household sidings. It is easily identified because it is lightweight and non magnetic.
Copper
Copper is an exceptional electrical and heat conductor and for that reason you will find it in most homes and buildings as wire and plumbing. It will also be found on cooking utensils like skillets and kettles.
Zinc
Another very hard metal, it is frequently found as the handles and corners of screen doors, vacuums, and even gum ball machines. Generally you will see it used in metal roofs and plumbing. Manville is one of the few places that will accept zinc as a recyclable product.
Stainless Steel
Highly resistant to stains, rust and heat, stainless steel is very bacterial resistant. For this reason it is used for tableware, as well as work surfaces in the food industry and hospitals. - Combine your metal with neighbours, coworkers, or friends to make a single trip to the recycling center. Set a date on the calendar and make it an event. If you get paid, treat yourself or your family to something like ice cream. If you don’t feel you need to keep the money, put it in the poor box at church or give it to a homeless person.
